Do you wish you had straighter teeth, but don’t want to experience metal braces? Invisalign, the invisible braces technology may just be the perfect option for getting those straight teeth.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is the clear alternative to metal braces. By using a series of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth with results you’ll notice sooner than you think. The course of treatment involves changing aligners approximately every two weeks, moving your teeth into straighter position step by step, until you have a more beautiful smile. And unlike braces, the removable nature of the aligners means you can take them out for special occasions, continue to eat your favourite foods and brush & floss to maintain good oral hygiene. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten.

What are the next steps if I was to go ahead?
Invisalign will use to create a 3-D digital image based on the photos and x-rays and allow us to create your customized treatment plan. Our Invisalign dentist will use the same 3-D technology to show you a virtual representation of your treatment plan and how your teeth will move during each stage. Treatment times vary, but generally treatment takes approximately one year for adult patients and about 14-30 months for teens.
You Receive Your Custom Aligners
Based on the information collected during step two, your aligners are custom-made specifically for you. They are comprised of a BPA-free plastic that is smooth and won’t irritate your gums and cheeks. Wear them throughout the day, only removing them when you eat or brush and floss your teeth. Your teeth will gradually begin to move as you change out your aligners every two weeks.
Change Your Aligner Every Two Weeks
You will be supplied with a series of Invisalign aligners that will carry you throughout the duration of your treatment. You will change your set of aligners every two weeks to advance you to the next stage of treatment. We will see you in our office approximately every six weeks to monitor your progress. We recommend you wear your aligners 20-22 hours per day for the best results.
